FEUSA, 501 (C)(3), Family Enterprise USA, (FEUSA) is THE organization that represents all family businesses on a national level in DC. FEUSA is different from other organizations; it represents and advocates for the families of family businesses and the issues, they face running their businesses. The sole mission and purpose is to promote family businesses and their job growth in America.
PATG, 501 (C)(4), Policy and Taxation Group (PATG) is dedicated to the ultimate repeal of estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer (GST) taxes.
Currently FEUSA and PATG are seeking candidates for a newly created position, as Director| Business Development. This is a contract position and is remote.
Position Overview
Grow new Members, manage, and cultivate existing relationship with current Donors. Use existing prospective members/supporters list and Donor data base to seek new support and membership for both organizations and track all activity. Use personal relationships and develop new relationships to cultivate new donors.
Research and analyze new business opportunities, family offices and family business organizations, to introduce them to the work of both PATG and FEUSA and their mission and generate funding support.
In conjunction with CEO of FEUSA/PATG:
- Set reasonable, measurable membership growth and fundraising goals; participate in weekly calls to review progress reports and prospects
- Participate at selected events to cultivate new members and build brand awareness of the organizations, but most cultivation will be by email and phone. Some travel may be necessary.
- Work collaboratively with team members to strategize about marketing opportunities to reach Donors and prospective Donors. Hands on work and ability to work independently
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree along with 7 years (business) Industry experience (nonprofit)
Marketing experience, strong presentation, organization, and communication skills, both oral and written, along with the ability to work and communicate in a nonpartisan political manner.
IT proficient, familiar with Donor Data base tracking, social media sites, posting and communication.
