New Video on Family Business ‘Workforce Challenges’ Premieres from Family Enterprise USA

Family Business Executives Tell Their Stories on the Challenges of Finding, Hiring, and Keeping Employees

A new video from Family Enterprise USA focused on “Workforce Challenges” is now available. The video is part of its “Unsung Heroes of Family Business” series. The 6-minute video features ten family business executives telling their stories on what works and what doesn’t work when it comes to finding, training, and keeping employees.

The unique challenges of building a family business workforce and culture come to life in these one-to-one interviews. The video is hosted by Pat Soldano, President, Family Enterprise USA. The family businesses in the video include such companies as Bush Brothers, Laticrete, Holt of California, Global 1st Flagship, Inolex, IRC, and Goodfellow Bros.

The topic of workforce issues was the focus of the first Congressional Family Business Caucus held in March. At the Capitol Hill meeting, six members of Congress and 40 family business executives and non-family employees told their stories of the challenging workforce issues the face daily. Several of the family businesses attending the Caucus meeting are featured in the video.

The issues we fight for or against with Congress in Washington DC include high income tax rates, possible elimination of valuation discounts, increase in capital gains tax, enactment of a wealth tax, and the continued burden of the gift tax, estate tax and generation skipping tax.
