The quarter\u2019s spotlight event is the third and final meeting this year with members of the Congressional Family Business Caucus<\/a>, slated for Sept. 17 on Capitol Hill.<\/p>\n The theme for this meeting is \u201cLegacy & Longevity – How Congress Can Support the Next Generation of Family Businesses.\u201d<\/p>\n The meeting includes a legislative and political update by experts from Brownstein and Squire Patton Boggs, a \u201cWhat Now?\u201d presentation from political and communications consultant Dr. Frank Luntz, and a presentation on \u201cFamily Business Tax Concerns\u201d by Bobby Stover, Americas Family Enterprise, and Family Office Leader for EY.<\/p>\n Over 12 Events Planned<\/strong><\/p>\n The third quarter schedule features over 12 events, both live and virtual, with presentations by top Capitol Hill advisors, family-owned business leaders, and family offices. Topics range from the provisions found in the recently passed new tax bill, to Next Generation succession issues, to upcoming legislation affecting family businesses, successful individuals, and family offices.<\/p>\n The remainder of July includes presentations at the FOX Forum in Chicago, July 15, and at the Global Cold Chain Alliance U.S. Policy Forum, in Washington, D.C, on July 22.<\/p>\n In August, live and virtual events include presentations to some 300 attendees at Pest World, August 2, in Savannah, Ga., an Aug. 26 event in Newport Beach, Calif., at the Pacific Club, and hosted by law firm Brown & Streza, and on August 26 a presentation at California State University Family Business Center.
