Unlike most outspoken Hollywood stars, business moguls and the incredibly wealthy Oprah Winfey has a different take on taxes, especially that of the Death Tax.<\/p>\n
Interestingly enough here, is Oprah Winfrey talking about
\ntax reform, her specific issues with how the wealthy are taxes as well as
\nspecific issues she has with the Estate Tax. Even more incredible is the fact
\nOprah has been public and open with her issues for decades as is evident by
\nthis interview from 1997 with Herb Nass.<\/p>\n

Mr. NASS:\u00a0At that level of wealth, yes. Her\u2014her

Alternatively\u2026<\/p>\n WINFREY:<\/strong>\u00a0And therefore, when you leave like a house or you leave money to people, then they\u2019re taxed 55 percent, so you\u2019ve got to leave them enough so that once they\u2019re taxed, they still have some money.<\/p>\n Mr. NASS:<\/strong>\u00a0Correct. Correct.<\/p>\n WINFREY:<\/strong>\u00a0That\u2019s why you always hear about people where their aunts left them houses or left them stuff and they can\u2019t keep the house because the taxes are so much.<\/p>\n Mr. NASS:<\/strong>\u00a0Well, charity is one other alternative.
